I’m starting a new section from which you will get inspiration for your designing ideas that you want to implement in your home (or in someone else’s in case you’re an interior designer). The first article in this section is about bathroom interior design. It may not be the most important part of the house but it’s a necessity to make it classy.
Simplicity is a rule of thumb for modern design. Make sure that you are keeping open and organic space free of clutter. Use built-in shelving and cabinetry to hide unwanted personal items. Leave all toiletries and novelty items out of your bathroom space, this is a place for relaxation and clean design, don’t clutter it up with things that are unnecessary. Choose tile and backsplash with geometric shapes to add interest and character without sacrificing minimalistic design.
As it is a bathroom what you’re decorating, you can choose a safer option and work with water-themed art, trying to recreate river and sea settings with nautical colors.
Even if it is way cheaper, a plain monochromatic floor won’t work for your ultra-exiting new bathroom, a least not Spanish or Morocco-inflected one. The bathroom allows you to be creative, and to apply all the patterns you think would be cheerful and would make you feel good each time you go to the bathroom.
